West End Trail Blazers, Inc. August 2010  News Letter

Hello Members, the club is in it's 9 year thanks to your support. We are a small but strong club consisting of a total of 79 members (family individual and business). There are 50 miles of trails we maintain and some of the views are breathtaking! We insure our trails for a little over $ 1,000.00. Fund raisers are important to the club and keep us going. Many thanks to all of you that have supported these efforts. We would not be a club without you.

Nominations for officers and 1 board member will take place at the October 5th meeting. We meet at the clubhouse on Trout Brook Road the first Monday of the month. If you are interested in running or want to nominate someone, come on out and let us know.

Chicken BBQ's- Brian Carr who we call our "chicken man" started this event 5 years ago & has made us pretty famous for our great tasting chicken. It is also another good fund raiser for the club. Even though we don't snowmobile in the summer it is a good way for members to stay in touch.

The January 2010 8th Annual Winterfest had a different twist this year. We included a Vintage Snowmobile Show
Swap and Shine! Both events were a great success. 20 sled and 10 exhibitors participated in the cold 16 degree
day. Luckly there was just enough snow for the radar run which is always a big hit. We hold it on the last
Saturday in January, so mark your calendars now for next year, January 29 because it will be held snow or no
snow. If you would like to help us out, let us know - we'd be glad to have ya.

We are early again this year for membership renewals because we have October lottery calendar tickets for sale.
Only 500 are sold and we want our members to have 1st dibs since a few missed out last year. The cost is $5 each
or a pack of 5 for $20. Let us know now so we can get them out to your in time. They must be paid by Sept. 30th
at the latest since they start October 1st.

Long sleeve Tees, hoodies and sweatshirts are available in different sizes. Tees $15. Hoodies- med-xl $25, 2x $27,
3x $29. Sweatshirts med-xl $18, 2x $20, and 3x $22.  Hats are $5.

If you have not belonged to the PSSA [Pa State Snowmobile Assn.] for 2 years and sign up as a member this
year, the PSSA will now send the club $5. Consider joining to help make Pa. snowmobiling even better and
benefit the club. Their website is

As you may not have heard the club has sold the groomer. The Pymatuning Trail Blazers from Jamestown Pa.
bought it back in March. We are looking for a smaller one to be able to groom all our trails. If you know of one
or see one for sale while driving, please call Doug at 814-544-7345.

We will be holding a club picnic Sept. 18 at 1 pm at Weimer's Park Pavillion located at the corner of Rt.6 &
Fishing Creek, Roulette. The club will provide the food and beverages. This is a Thank You to our members.
Come out and Join us for the fun.

Membership applications are also included. Please send back ASAP and remember to include a note or call if you
want the calendar lottery tickets.

Thanks again for all your support. Hope to see you soon
